Through life and after taking on characteristics and/or personalities of the world itself, the essence of our being begins to be in disagreement. A loneliness and emptiness takes over. Then a void appears. When the void appears you can be sure that the separation from God has occurred. We that are Christians know, however, those of us that are not Christians have no idea. Why? The world looks to the world to fill its void. A good example is sexual affairs. The world will focus on the many marriages of "Movie Actors" more than a marriage with longevity. Some do not know that when you have finances, you do not have to date many; you marry many to make it look better.
Even senior citizens (Elders/Superiors) are getting ripped off. This is my plateau and I am blessed to be senior enough to know and argue the facts. A senior citizen can get basic information anywhere because of their age. We do not need to pay agencies to do it for us. Some Elders are asking, "Why do I have to join an Association of a Retired Person? I am already that." Social Security can give all the information needed. Then you must pay the CEO of the AARP, the CFO, the President, the Vice Presidentetc. (It appears we will do better to donate the money to Social Security than to another bureaucracy.) All of a sudden they get the message, a smart legal Salesman can sway the thinking and make it seem right. They call it marketing.
Then there are the ones who try to fill their voids by tuning to little children. We have to keep in mind that all people that have kids are not parents. They just have kids. There are even times when parents allow their own daughters to dress up like adults. When something bad happens to them they are kids again. Some allow their little boys to wear their hair down to their waist. All these events are from a disassociated life from God. It is even difficult to walk the street and determine who you are looking at, a woman or a man. Truly this world is exactly what God said will be, Men with men, women with women, children with parents and parents with children.

Top-level comments on this article: (3 total)Hi Dr. Rucker, very interesting read. You point out the truth and the road that man will travel without turning to God. It is evident that the longer God tarries, the worse the world gets. But the longsuffering of God is waiting for that very last person to acknowledge him. Thank you for sharing. Blessings! TeresaThank you Teresa, Your comment makes me try harder, that is for sure.
Rev, interesting take on the gulf between God and man. I agree that those who do not follow Christ will look to fill the void with whatever they can. Though, as a Christian man who used to "wear their hair down to their waist," I might argue that that particular point might not be a sign of the coming apocalypse. ;)
