Men have lost all deep respect for law because they have forgotten the very source of all law and authority! Your Bible says: "There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy" (James 4:12). That lawgiver is Almighty God. In their modern search for a man-devised "peace of mind" or a "religion that satisfies," men have totally forgotten about the great God who rules this universe! No wonder some of our young people—the leaders of tomorrow—have such a lawless attitude. One of the world’s foremost educators warned a group of military leaders of this very problem.
"I have no quarrel with the present emphasis placed on science, but today we are paying for support of schools which act from September 1 to June 30 as if there were no God."
Dr. von Klein Smid noted the "absence of moral values" in our youth resulting from this attitude. When you leave the true God out, there is no real standard of behavior left. The result is spiritual chaos and lawlessness and wretchedness in the human heart. In nearly all present-day religious denominations, the tendency is to try to "modernize" and "democratize" God, and do away with His authority to rule His creation—and us, His creatures.
There are very few truly "God-fearing men" left on earth today! Having made their imaginative pet "god" in their own image, men certainly do not stand in awe and deep respect of such a "god." They do not fear their "god." And they certainly do not obey this creature of their own imagination! Yet the real message of Jesus Christ was about the God who created this earth! His was the God who blessed men for obedience to His laws—and who punished for disobedience.
The Jesus Christ of our Bible always preached the gospel of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1:14; Luke 4:43). In modern language, He preached the happy news of the government of God—the rule of God. He said: "Repent, and believe in the gospel" (Mark 1:15). Before you can sincerely believe and accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, and have His shed blood cover your sins, you must repent. But repent of what? Repent of sin! What is sin?
Despite the contradictory ideas and generalizations of organized religious denominations, our Bible clearly states:
"Sin is the transgression of the law" (1 John 3:4, KJV). Sin is breaking God’s spiritual law—the Ten Commandments. That is definitely and specifically what sin is! Before God will forgive our past sins, we must first repent of breaking His law! We must learn to fear and respect God as the Supreme Ruler of this universe—and as our King and Ruler.
Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, was inspired to write:
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge" (Proverbs 1:7). This Godly fear is by no means a personal dread, but a deep respect and reverences for the great office and authority of God—for His divine power—His wisdom—His love. Without faith in such a great and real God, mankind is incomplete. Cut off from the true God of law and order, mankind is purposeless, empty, frustrated, and as you can see confused.
The way out of modern man’s emptiness and confusion may sound stale or simple to some people. But it is real—and it works! It is simply that mankind must quit worshiping false gods. Mankind must return to the God of the Bible, the God of creation, the God who rules this universe! Summarizing His way to the fulfillment of man’s desire for a happy, abundant and purposeful life, God inspired these words at the end of the book of Ecclesiastes:
"The end of the matter, all having been heard: fear God, and keep His commandments; for this is the whole man" (Ecclesiastes 12:13,). Mankind is frustrated and incomplete without this living, vital contact with God—walking His way, keeping His commandments. Obedience to God’s commandments would bring peace and fulfillment and joy to all the nations and peoples of this earth. It is the real answer to all of our problems, individually and collectively. It is the way of life Jesus Christ is going to teach when He returns to rule this world (Micah 4:2).
As we look at our own nation America, we can see exactly what this land was founded on, “Greed.”
That is the beginning of a downfall for any… Man’s inner self of selfishness and greed has allowed a void in him that will always want. The nation becomes an always “I want more.” This leads to emptiness inside and the first destroyer of any nation is to be destroyed from within, this leads to a destroyed without. Now men all over the world call our home America, “The Big Whore.”
There are Bible scholars and layman alike that must agree, “the Bible speaks of “The Big Whore.”

Revelation
Chap 17
1-6
This is a new vision of St John on the Isle of Patmos given by GOD. Most notably, “The Revelation of Jesus Christ. Christ is the revelation of “GOD HIMSELF” (John 1:18).
God invited John to see the great prostitute. This is a name of great infamy. Infamy was like New York once was and now Las Vegas as an example. Babylon was this type of city, the type of city that could pull God’s messengers into its wings. This city had been prostitute to all the great kings of the earth during this time.
The appearance she made in v. 4, she was intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries. We too as many may spend lavishly to obtain stuff.

(On her forehead a name was written V.5, “Mystery Babylon The Great, The Mother of Harlots and Abominations of The Earth).”
Her principal throne and residence-on the beast had seven heads and ten horns; that is to say, Rome, was the city on seven hills.
Her name was written on her forehead.
She is named from her place of residence-Babylon the great. She is named from her infamous way and practice, not only a prostitute, but also a mother of prostitutes.
Her diet: she satiated herself with the blood of the saints and of those who bore testimony to Jesus. She drank their blood with such greediness that she intoxicated herself with it. Other words she was so full of herself. No one could tell her anything, her way or the highway. She knew it all and had it all. She wanted to be the only game in town. Remember when our President Obama spoke against Las Vegas for its corruption? The city went against him. They did not want their tourism cut off. That was Babylon, the great whore.
Verses 7-13
Here we have the mystery of this vision explained.
But it is so explained as still to need further explanation.
A. This beast once was, now is not, and will come; it was a seat of idolatry and persecution; and is not, not in the ancient form, and yet it is truly the seat of idolatry and tyranny. It comes up out of the Abyss, and it shall return there and go to destruction.
B. This beast has seven heads, which have a double significance. Seven hills-the seven hills on which Rome stands, seven kings and seven sorts of government. Five of these were extinct; one was then in being; and the other was yet to come, v. 10. This beast makes an eighth.
C. This beast had ten horns; which are said to be ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom.
Verses 14-18
1. War begun between the beast and his followers, and the Lamb and his followers. One would think an army with a lamb at the head of them could not stand before the great red dragon.
II. Victory gained by the Lamb: The Lamb will overcome. He will be sure to meet with many enemies, but he will also be sure to gain the victory.
III. The ground or reason of the victory.
1. From the character of the Lamb: He is King of kings and Lord of lords. All the powers of earth and hell are subject to his check and control.
2. From the character of His followers: They are called, “chosen and faithful.” Such an army, under such a commander, will at length carry the entire world before them.
IV. The victory is justly aggrandized.
1. By the vast multitude who paid obedience and subjection to the beast and to the prostitute, v. 15, 18.
2. By the powerful influence, which God thus showed, He had over the minds of great men. It was of God, and to fulfill his will, that these kings agreed to give the beast their power to rule. It was of God that afterwards their hearts were turned against the prostitute.
CHAP. 18
Ver. 1,2. Shows an angel proclaiming the fall of Babylon,
Ver. 3. Assigning the reasons for her (Babylon) fall,
Ver 4-5 Gives warning to all who belonged to God to come out of her and to assist in her destruction, ver. 6-8 is the destruction.
Ver. 9-19 is the great lamentation made for her by those who had been large sharers in her sinful pleasures and profits.
Ver. 20ff. shows the great joy that there would be among others at the sight of her irrecoverable ruin.
Verses 1-8
Here is another angel sent from heaven, v. 1. He had not only light in himself, to discern the truth of his prediction, but to inform and enlighten the world about that great event. This angel proclaims the fall of Babylon, as a thing already accomplished. Here seems to be an allusion to the prediction of the fall of pagan Babylon>>>
(Isa. 21. 9), where the word is repeated: “And, behold here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.”
(Rev. 14:8) also stated: “And there followed another angel, saying. ‘Babylon is fallen, is fallen,’ that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”

Can you please explain the laws that explain to Israel how to properly make slaves of their conquered foes and force their women into marriage (repeated rape.). Please explain how Jesus and all Jews at that time were racist and Jesus did not even want his message to go to non-Jews and how that lines up today with the Forgive all repent and go to heaven doctrine that most people are preaching. I don't get it.
The more I study the bible the more I loose faith. I have not seen anyone that can explain this to me yet.
